SPINKA...
its foundation is steeped in Torah. The Imrei Yosef , zt"l, and his son, the Chakal Yitzchok, zt"l, were renowned worldwide as illustrious Torah giants in both Talmud and Kabbalah.

When presiding over a weekly Friday night "Tish" to celebrate the Shabbos with special foods and song, the Chakal Yitzchok, zt"l, limited the time spent there so that he could pursue his studies. When his students approached the Chakal Yitzchok, zt"l, for a blessing, he offered them his warmest wishes, put a Gemarah in their hand and lovingly sent them back to learn.

The Chakal Yitzchok, zt"l, founded the first Spinka Yeshiva in Munkatch and then in Selish. Hundreds of students graced his Yeshiva, and many of them became impressive Torah scholars and religious judges, who are practicing within our community today.

In addition, the Chakal Yitzchok's, zt"l, son, the Rav of Bilka, zt"l, and his son-in-law, the Rav of Krulle , zt"l, established prominent yeshivos that educated many outstanding students. Tragically, during World War II, most of the Spinka followers were annihilated and very few Spinka students remained.

With the grace of Hashem, the grandson of the Chakal Yitzchok, zt"l, was mercifully spared from catastrophe. Rabbi Yaakov Yoseph Weisz, zt"l, who had piloted one of the famed Spinka yeshivos before the war, invigorated the dispirited souls of those whom the war had left shattered in its wake. He rejuvenated them with fresh vitality borne out of love and care. He magnetized their splintered Souls with a pure yearning for Torah and piety, and, with the help of his son, our current leader, Rabbi Naftoli Zvi Weisz, shlit"a, succeeded to launch Yeshivos in Israel and America. Providing a haven where children and teenagers would flock to ignite their dejected spirits with the blazing embers of Torah was Rabbi Weisz', zt"l, fervent hope, and, ultimately, his glory.

In the frame of thirty six years, Spinka boasts many alumni who are prominent leaders, religious judges, teachers, principals and distinguished congregants. Reverence for Hashem and exemplary behavior continues to be a significant mainstay within the confines of Spinka. Monthly visits are arranged to have illustrious Torah scholars visit the Yeshiva and lecture to its students about the importance of learning Torah, and being G-d fearing and exceptional individuals. Noted Torah scholars have been invited to give oral exams to Spinka students on the Talmud and Jewish Ethics they have learned throughout the year. These Rabbis are stunned by the clear perception of the students and the diligence of Spinka's teachers to inculcate their charges with awesome knowledge.

Rabbi Weisz has poured Heart and Soul into every aspect of the Spinka Yeshivos... they are his lifetime ambition, his reason for being. The bond he shares with each faculty member and each student is indescribable. His profound involvement in the Yeshivos' daily activities is amazing, going above and beyond to lend his personal attention to each student, who enthuses in that exclusive, magical touch. He thrills in the progress of each child... and they respond with generous paces of advancement.

For many years, Rabbi Weisz, shlita, carried the burden of the Yeshivos on his own. However, during the last two years, the Rebbe was restricted from managing the daily issues of the Yeshiva. Consequently, the Spinka Yeshivos have encountered a major financial crisis, which may force them to close their doors forever! Can you even imagine the lives of those dedicated and highly-esteemed teachers, who have invested many years in cultivating the triumphs of the Spinka alumni, reduced to members on the unemployment line, torn from the work they do best? And what is to happen with the multitudes of children who counted on Spinka to be the path of Life they would travel upon, ultimately leading them to Success? Can we bear witness to children being wrenched from the place they call, "Home," and scattered abroad, afloat without anchor?

IS THIS WHERE THE CHAKAL YITZHOCK'S VISION TERMINATES? IS THIS HOW A LIFETIME OF COLOSSAL EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF TORAH CULMINATES... .SO SUDDENLY... AND CAUSED BY WHAT... BY A LACK OF FUNDS?!

To shatter the dream of our beloved leader, Rabbi Naftoli Zvi Weisz, shlita, would be a grave sin. To witness the grief as Rabbi Weisz, shlita, observes the locks on Spinka's doors and hears the silence of its once-bustling halls echoing Torah chants would fracture even the iciest heart. To read the distressed thoughts of Rabbi Weisz, shlita, as he ponders the fruits of his labor demolished would crush the soul of any human.

Can any person stand idly by and not be moved by this dreadful scenario?! We think not. Therefore, we implore you our dear brethren to open your hearts, in the name of Torah that is so precious to all of us, and rescue the Spinka Dynasty from disaster. Please extend your heartfelt feelings toward our beloved leader, the Spinka Rebbe, shlita, and generously contribute to this noble cause by purchasing a RAFFLE to salvage the honor of Torah.

...And when Spinka is flourishing again, it will be your celebrated Success. May we all merit to see the Spinka Dynasty thrive and shower its beneficiaries with multitudes of Blessings.
